Renowned Eye Surgeon Dr. Suresh Pandey Returns to His Alma Mater, Inspires Students on Eye Health, Success and Life Values Rawatbhata, July 6, 2026. A highly inspiring and interactive session was organized today at PM Shri Government Senior Secondary School, Rawatbhata, the atomic city of Rajasthan. The session was addressed by Dr. Suresh Kumar Pandey, renowned eye surgeon, author, national thinker, motivational speaker and Chief Eye Surgeon at SuVi Eye Hospital, Kota, on the topic “Common Eye Problems Among Students and Their Solutions.” The occasion was emotionally significant as this was the same school where Dr. Pandey studied in Classes 9, 10 and 11 from 1981 to 1983. At that time, the institution was known as Government Senior Secondary School, Rawatbhata. Today, it stands proudly as PM Shri Government Senior Secondary School, contributing to education, values and nation-building. Addressing the students, Dr. Pandey said that success does not depend on big cities, but on big dreams, discipline, right guidance and consistent hard work. During his talk, Dr. Pandey highlighted common eye problems among students, including refractive errors, increasing myopia, digital eye strain due to excessive smartphone and screen use, headache, burning sensation, dryness, allergy, frequent eye rubbing, squint and lazy eye. He advised students to undergo regular eye check-ups, follow the 20-20-20 rule, maintain proper distance from screens, avoid mobile use in the dark, spend time outdoors, eat nutritious food and wear spectacles regularly if prescribed. Dr. Pandey also explained the concept of DOSE hormones—Dopamine, Oxytocin, Serotonin and Endorphins—in a simple and student-friendly manner. He said these happiness hormones help in motivation, trust, confidence, emotional balance, joy and stress relief. He encouraged students to activate them through exercise, yoga, meditation, gratitude, positive thinking, good friendships, helping others and working consistently towards their goals. The session was highly interactive. Dr. Pandey asked questions related to eyes, health, discipline, goals and life values, and awarded prizes to students who answered correctly. Students participated enthusiastically and shared their queries related to eye care and healthy lifestyle. Motivating the students, Dr. Pandey encouraged them to identify their passion, work hard, respect their parents and teachers, and move ahead in life with honesty, discipline, compassion and confidence. He emphasized that every student carries a hidden spark of greatness, which needs the right direction and sincere effort.
