We are pleased to announce the first (in Hadoti) implantation of the Lucidis EDOF IOL done at SuVi Eye Hospital, Kota. The Lucidis is an advanced refractive EDOF IOL designed to correct the vision post-cataract surgery. Developed and manufactured entirely in Switzerland, it offers patients an excellent balance between a wide visual accommodation range and a high-quality vision. Lucidis integrates the EDOF technology Instant Focus built into its aspheric optical center surrounded by its refractive outer surface. As a result, the loss of light and dysphotopsia remain within close range of a mono-focal lens. In addition, the visual accommodation expands from the near continuously up to the distance vision providing the patient an extra level of visual comfort. The closed-loop haptic design enfolds the platform of Lucidis providing a stable fit in the capsular bag.
हाडौती में प्रथम बार सुवि नेत्र चिकित्सालय एवं लेसिक लेजर सेंटर, कोटा (राज.) में दिनांक 21 जनवरी को ल्यूसिडिस एक्सपांडेड डेप्थ आफ फोकस लैन्स का सफल प्रत्यारोपण किया गया। दिनांक 21 जनवरी को 57 वर्षीया श्रीमती कृष्णा देवी की बायीं आंख का मोतियाबिन्द आपरेशन टोपिकल फेको पद्धति से 22.50 डायोप्टर का ल्यूसिडिस एक्सपांडेड डेप्थ आफ फोकस लैन्स का सफल प्रत्यारोपण सुवि नेत्र चिकित्सालय एवं लेसिक लेजर सेंटर कोटा में डाॅ. सुरेश पाण्डेय द्वारा किया गया।
क्या है ल्यूसिडिस एक्सपांडेड डेप्थ आफ फोकस लेंस ?
नेत्र सर्जन डाॅ. सुरेश पाण्डेय ने बताया की स्वीट्जरलैन्ड की कम्पनी स्वीस एडवांस विज़न द्वारा निर्मित ल्यूसिडिस एक्सपांडेड डेप्थ आफ फोकस लेंस एक विशेष प्रकार का लैन्स है, जो रोगी को दूर-इंटरमीडिएट एवं पास के तीनों क्षेत्रों मेें स्पष्ट चश्में की निर्भरता कम करते हुए स्पष्ट दृष्टि प्रदान करता है। इस लैन्स प्रत्यारोपण के बाद रात्रि के समय वाहन चलाने पर प्रकाशवृत्त (हैलोज) एवं चकाचैंध (ग्लेयर) जैसी समस्याऐं भी नहीं होती है। इंजेक्टर डिवाईस के माध्यम से 2.2 मिमी. के सूक्ष्म छिद्र से आंख की कैप्सुलर बेग नामक झिल्ली में ल्यूसिडिस एक्सपांडेड डेप्थ आफ फोकस लैन्स प्रत्यारोपण करना संभव है। इस लैन्स में केन्द्रीय एक मिमी. का एस्फेरिक जाॅन (एक्सीकोन) होता है जो पास की स्पष्ट दृष्टि प्रदान करता है। लैन्स का शेष भाग दूर की स्पष्ट दृष्टि प्रदान करता है।
