11 सितम्बर 1893 का दिन भारत के आध्यात्मिक इतिहास का वह स्वर्णिम अध्याय है, जिसने पूरी दुनिया में भारत की गूंज को स्थापित किया। शिकागो की विश्व धर्म महासभा में स्वामी विवेकानंद का ओजस्वी भाषण केवल शब्दों की शक्ति नहीं था, बल्कि यह भारत की आत्मा की आवाज़ थी। “सभी धर्मों का मूल एक ही है” और “वसुधैव कुटुम्बकम्” जैसे संदेशों ने मानवता को नई दिशा दी। उस समय जब दुनिया पश्चिम की भौतिकता और पूर्व की आध्यात्मिकता के बीच विभाजित थी, विवेकानंद ने दोनों को जोड़ने का मार्ग दिखाया।

कोरिया की जमीं पर 1915 में एक ऐसा बच्चा जन्मा, जिसकी किस्मत में सिर्फ और सिर्फ संघर्ष लिखा था। नाम था चुंग जू-युंग। घर इतना गरीब कि न खाने को अन्न, न पढ़ाई के लिए साधन। पिता किसान थे और गुज़ारा करना भी मुश्किल था। भूख ऐसी कि कई बार पेड़ की छाल खाकर ही पेट भरना पड़ता। लेकिन इस बच्चे के भीतर भूख सिर्फ पेट की नहीं थी, भूख थी कुछ बड़ा करने की, भूख थी गरीबी से बाहर निकलने की, और भूख थी अपनी किस्मत बदलने की।
किशोरावस्था में ही चुंग जू-युंग ने घर छोड़ दिया। उसने मज़दूरी की, छोटे-मोटे काम किए, और कई बार असफलताओं का सामना किया। एक बार चावल बेचने का व्यापार शुरू किया, लेकिन सरकारी नियमों और दबाव के चलते वह भी बंद हो गया। उसने एक रिपेयर शॉप खोली, और वहीं से उसकी असली यात्रा की शुरुआत हुई। मशीनों, औज़ारों और काम की मेहनत से उसने सीखा कि कुछ भी असंभव नहीं है।
1940 के दशक में जब कोरिया युद्ध और ग़रीबी से तबाह था, उसी दौरान चुंग जू-युंग ने Hyundai Engineering and Construction की नींव रखी। उस समय किसी ने सोचा भी नहीं था कि यह छोटी सी कंपनी आगे चलकर विशाल साम्राज्य का रूप लेगी। उसने सड़कों और पुलों का निर्माण किया, और धीरे-धीरे Hyundai कोरिया की रीढ़ बन गई।
लेकिन चुंग जू-युंग यहीं नहीं रुके। उनका सपना और बड़ा था। उन्होंने ठान लिया कि कोरिया को कार बनाने वाला देश बनाना है। 1960 और 70 के दशक में उन्होंने Hyundai Motor Company की शुरुआत की। लोग हँसते थे, कहते थे—“ग़रीब कोरिया कार बनाएगा? यह नामुमकिन है।” लेकिन चुंग जू-युंग ने कहा—“अगर हम कोशिश करेंगे, तो सब मुमकिन है।”
1975 में Hyundai ने पहली कार बनाई—Hyundai Pony। यह कार न सिर्फ कोरिया की सड़कों पर चली, बल्कि पूरी दुनिया में निर्यात की गई। यह एक गरीब किसान के बेटे के सपनों की पहली सवारी थी। इसके बाद Hyundai ने कभी पीछे मुड़कर नहीं देखा। आज Hyundai दुनिया की सबसे बड़ी और सबसे भरोसेमंद कार कंपनियों में से एक है।
चुंग जू-युंग की कहानी हमें यह सिखाती है कि असली ताक़त इंसान की परिस्थितियों में नहीं, बल्कि उसके हौसले में होती है। जिसने भूख मिटाने के लिए पेड़ की छाल खाई, उसने पूरी दुनिया को गाड़ियाँ दीं। जिसने गरीबी देखी, उसने करोड़ों लोगों को रोजगार दिया।
उनकी ज़िंदगी एक संदेश है—"हार मत मानो, चाहे हालात कितने भी मुश्किल क्यों न हों। अगर हिम्मत और लगन है, तो पेड़ की छाल खाने वाला बच्चा भी पूरी दुनिया को अपनी सवारी पर बिठा सकता है।"

In the year 1915, in a small, poverty-stricken village in Korea, a boy was born who seemed destined only for struggle. His name was Chung Ju-Yung. His family was so poor that even a single meal was uncertain. Hunger was so severe that sometimes he chewed on tree bark to survive. But inside that frail body burned a hunger far greater than food — a hunger to change his destiny, a hunger to escape poverty, and a hunger to build something the world would remember.
As a teenager, Chung Ju-Yung left home in search of opportunity. He worked as a laborer, did odd jobs, and faced failure after failure. Once, he tried running a rice trading business, but government restrictions shut it down. He opened a small repair shop, and it was here that his real journey began. Among machines, tools, and hard work, he discovered the power of persistence and the belief that nothing was impossible.
In the 1940s, when Korea was devastated by war and poverty, Chung laid the foundation of Hyundai Engineering and Construction. At that time, nobody imagined that this humble company would one day grow into a massive industrial empire. He built roads, bridges, and infrastructure that helped rebuild his country. Slowly, Hyundai became the backbone of Korea’s development.
But Chung Ju-Yung was not satisfied. His vision was much larger. He dreamed of making Korea an automobile-producing nation. In the 1960s and 70s, he founded Hyundai Motor Company. People laughed at him. Critics said, “A poor country like Korea building cars? Impossible.” But Chung firmly believed, “If we try, nothing is impossible.”
In 1975, Hyundai introduced its very first car — the Hyundai Pony. It was not just a car; it was the first ride of a poor farmer’s son’s dream. The Pony was exported worldwide, making history as Korea’s first mass-produced automobile. From that moment, Hyundai never looked back. Today, Hyundai stands tall as one of the biggest and most trusted car companies in the world.
Chung Ju-Yung’s journey teaches us that real strength doesn’t lie in circumstances but in determination. The man who once ate tree bark to survive gave the world millions of cars to drive. The boy who grew up in poverty went on to provide employment to countless people across the globe.
His life is a timeless reminder — “Never give up, no matter how hard life gets. With courage and persistence, even a hungry boy from a poor village can put the entire world on wheels.”

जब हम दिल से लिखते हैं और उसे दुनिया से बाँटते हैं, तो वह केवल हमारी नहीं रहती – वह सबकी बन जाती है। "जिंदगी का जश्न: सफल, सुखद एवं सार्थक जीवन के 101 सूत्र" के अध्याय "कविता लिखें और सुनाएँ" में मैंने अपने जीवन का वह सफ़र साझा किया है, जहाँ कविताएँ मेरे लिए सहारा बनीं, सुकून का ज़रिया बनीं, और दूसरों को प्रेरित करने का माध्यम बनीं। कविता हमें जोड़ती है — हमारे दर्द, हमारी खुशियों और हमारी कहानियों से। एक पंक्ति कभी किसी की मुस्कान लौटा सकती है, किसी का बोझ हल्का कर सकती है और किसी को नए सपने देखने की ताक़त दे सकती है।
