🌟 National Eye Donation Fortnight: August 25 - September 8, 2024 🌟 We are proud to announce the celebration of National Eye Donation Fortnight, a crucial time dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of eye donation. On this special occasion, Dr. K.K. Kanjolia (President of the Eye Bank Society of Rajasthan, Kota Chapter), Dr. Suresh K. Pandey (Coordinator of EBSR, Kota Chapter), and Tinku Ojha had the honor of meeting with Shri Om Birla, the Speaker of the Lok Sabha. They presented him with a poster to promote eye donation awareness, underscoring the critical role of eye donations in restoring sight to those suffering from corneal blindness. Corneal blindness remains a significant cause of vision loss in India. In the Hadoti region, it is a particularly pressing issue due to the high incidence of corneal injuries among mine workers and farmers, as well as the unique threat of lime pouch injuries among children. Through the efforts of the Eye Bank Society of Rajasthan, we aim to change lives by increasing awareness and encouraging more people to pledge their eyes. Shri Om Birla commended the efforts of the Eye Bank Society of Rajasthan, Kota Chapter, for their relentless work to raise awareness about eye donation in the region.
