Honored to Perform Live Surgery and Receive the ROSCON Video Award at the 46th Annual ROSCON Ophthalmology Conference in Udaipur! This past weekend, I was thrilled to be part of the ROSCON Ophthalmology Conference in Udaipur, joined by over 400 talented eye doctors from all over India. During the conference, I had the opportunity to perform a live surgery at Alakh Nayan Mandir Hospital at Udaipur. I implanted a special toric phakic lens (by Care Group India) in a young patient’s left eye, correcting a -11.00 prescription. I felt truly honored to receive the ROSCON Video Award in the Educational Category, presented by respected colleagues Dr. Sandeep Vijay, Dr. Arun Kshetrapal, and Dr. Mayank Agarwal. At the conference, I also presented on several key topics, including VIP syndrome, managing dry eye, phaco techniques for challenging cases with black cataracts and small pupils, and presented an unusual case of the "flying cannula: an intracameral missile." Our team, Mewar Myopics, also took part in the Rajasthan Ophthalmology Premier League, where we shared some complex cases. Another highlight was sharing copies of my book, Secrets of Successful Doctors, with honored guests at the conference. I also joined the Run for Sight event to help raise awareness about eye health and the importance of vision care.
