On January 23, 2024, we commemorate India's beloved leader Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose's 126th birth anniversary, also known as Parakram Divas. Pleased to share a few interesting facts about Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose 1. He was born in Cuttack, Bengal Province, in 1897, with 14 siblings. 2. Subhash Chandra Bose was kicked out of college. His first act of anti-British resistance was an assault on Professor Oaten at Presidency College for allegedly making anti-Indian remarks and mistreating Indian students. 3. Netaji was imprisoned 11 times during his independence struggle. His anti-British-rule activities frequently landed him in jail, but this did not deter the legend. 4. He was married to Emilie Schenkl, an Austrian woman. They had one daughter, Anita Bose, who is a well-known German economist. 5. Netaji was a progressive thinker who encouraged women to join the Indian National Army and fight for their country.
